I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

The Life In Your Years......

This is a scrapbook page I did yesterday of a lone photo taken of my husband and me this past summer when we were visiting the Titanic Exhibit in Pigeon Forge with other family members that were visiting. I just loved the exhibit and stayed in there and looked at all the pictures and read every plaque on the wall, however, everyone else was apparently not as enthralled with every word as I was, and they all finished about 45 minutes before I was ready to leave. So there they were all outside, waiting for me in the sweltering heat of August. Much to my mortification, my husband finally had me paged!! Fortunately for them, I was already on my way out. I hurried out as fast as I could, so no one would know that I was the victim of the "paging". Anyway, no photos were allowed inside, but my sister took this picture of the two of us in the parking lot - one of the few good pics of both of us together.

I saw this layout when I was at A.C. Moore yesterday, so it is totally scraplifted. What I really liked was the inscription: "It's not the number of years in your Life that are important. It's the amount of life in your Years." Abraham Lincoln apparently made this statement.

I used 2 sheets of Bo Bunny paper to make the page, cutting the shaped page and putting one side of it over to the right side. The flowers and button embellishments were also by Bo Bunny. The script was the Gypsy Font at 2". On the right, I stamped a saying randomly about Memories, and I connected the two flowered buttons with twine. The scalloped edge at the bottom of the photo was a Martha Stewart punch.
