Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

I Just Enjoy Being Alone With the Peace and Quiet

My sister, Jan, has been in town for a week, and last night my Florida daughter and her husband and son, Cade, arrived.  All we did was eat all day long!  We got up this morning, and my husband fixed a HUGE breakfast of bacon, eggs, and pancakes.  That's his specialty, and we all stuffed ourselves until we were sedated.  After that there was huge kitchen clean up and I ran the dishwasher.  Two and a half hours later everyone was getting hungry again, and I hadn't even gotten the bacon smell out of the house.  So then there was homemade chicken rice soup (compliments of my sister) and grilled bacon and cheese sandwiches.  Stuffed again!  Then someone came up with the great idea of going to a local strawberry farm and picking strawberries.  Now don't get me wrong - I love strawberries, but I do not like picking them out in the hot sun.  That's what Wal Mart is for.  So I opted out, and the rest of them trouped merrily out with buckets in hands and hats on their heads.  It gave me two lovely hours to work on my latest craft project - the exploding Easter basket album.  You're going to love it!  My gosh, they came back with 3 full buckets of the most delicious strawberries I'd ever seen, and so sweet that we couldn't quit nibbling on them.  They were Huge!.  Then it was time to eat supper - grilled brats,  grilled sweet potatoes, baked beans, salad, and then strawberry shortcake and ice cream for dessert.  I'm miserable!  Everyone else in the house has gone to bed, but I'm still up scrapping.  I just enjoy being alone with the peace and quiet.

Tomorrow is Easter, annd I would like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful time with your families.  God loves you, and so do I.
