About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

Highland Games Bagpipes and Drums Corp

You might want to turn your volumn down a little, because these bagpipes are loud and screechy. Maryville College is holding the Highland Games this week-end for the first time, and my sister told me that there was going to be a parade this evening at 6:30 P.M. featuring a band with drums and bagpipes. She wanted to go, so I told her I would go with her. When we got to town, there was no sign of any parade or people gathering on the sidewalks, etc., but we grabbed her camera and started walking towards Maryville College until we saw a group of people sitting in the grass. We figured the parade was going to pass by there, and it did. It lasted about 31 seconds - the exact length of this video. As it turned out, the band was the only thing that was in the parade! We had a good laugh and then went to the local Mexican restaurant and had a couple of Margaritas!.
