Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

A TRIP TO THE KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

Today I and my daughter's family got up at the crack of dawn to drive to Merritt Island, FL, to see the Kennedy Space Center.  We took their camper for comfort.  It was only a 2 hour ride, but I-95 was smokey because of all the brush fires Florida has had due to the dry weather.  The space station was great, I must say.  We got to see the space shuttle Atlantis, which was already on it's launch pad in preparation for the last shuttle launch sometime in July.  It's sort of the end of an era for the Space Center.  I wonder what they'll do now.  At any rate, we got home after dark after a fun day.  If you go to Florida, I recommend a trip to the Kennedy Space Center near Cape Canaveral before it becomes semi-inactive.  I have been working on a Patriotic mini book "America the Beautiful".  Isn't that original?  I had to have something to do while I'm down here.  I'll show it to you when I get home.
