Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

SPENDING THE NEXT TWO NIGHTS IN NEWPORT, R.I.

We're back "off island" now, and for our last two nights of our tour we're going to be in Newport, R.I., which at one time was the whaling capital of the world and the wealthiest town in America - home to Cornelius Vanderbilt. John Jacob Astor, and many other rich New Yorkers who made their money on railroads and manufacturing. There are some huge mansions in this town, but the families don't own them anymore - the state historical society does. Newport's claim to fame is it's whaling museum and shipping history.
Here is a picture of some of the ladies traveling with us.

HA!!! Just kidding. That was a picture of some whalers wives waiting for their men to come home from the sea. Tomorrow is our last full day of touring. Then we head back to Boston on Thursday.
