About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

Well, I finally got my blog design somewhat back to the way it was, but not quite.  I think I'm just going to have to learn to live with it until I figure out how to design my own.  I've watched a number of You Tube videos, so at some point I'll try it.  Until then, this is what you get. I am making progress on my crafting area, so within the next day or so, I'm going to get my new Cricut Mini set up and give it a try.  Would you believe, I've had it since the middle of November, but I haven't had the nerve to even install it.  I hate installing new hardware on my computer!!  It seems that when I do, something drastic goes wrong and I frustrate myself to pieces until it's straightened out - just like with my blog design.
Next week is Spring Break, and I'm going to take our 8 year old grandaughter, Abby, to Florida to visit her cousin, Cade.  They're really close, but they don't get to see each other very often, since Cade lives so far away.  I hope she doesn't go and get all homesick on me!

We're all still trying to accept the fact that Granny is really gone.  We have lived here on her farm (at the top of her hill) for 15 years, and now it all belongs to us. I look down at her empty house and it seems so strange that she's not there.  We go inside, and it's cold and quiet - no smell of her cooking, no TV going - she always watched the RFD channel.  The blinds are all drawn, and all the rooms are dark.  It's only been a week today since we buried her, but the house feels like no one has lived there in a long time.  So strange.
