About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

PLEASE FORGIVE AND BE PATIENT

I hope you all aren't getting impatient with me because I haven't done anything creative lately, but, to tell you the truth, my DH and I have been overwhelmed with taking care of the estate of his recently deceased mother.  We literally have inherited the farm and all the headaches that go with it, and we are trying to clean out a very antiquated farm house in preparation for re-modeling it (or perhaps renting it).  She had accumulated so much "stuff" over her 96 years, and we are having to go through it all and either give it away, sell it, or take it to the dump - and that includes lots of her old furniture, which no one is going to want.  My days are spent down at the house going through old drawers and making piles of this and that all over the place.  We hope to have a walk-through estate sale in about 3 weeks.  Then comes the decision of whether to rent it (cheaper way out) or re-model it and move in (much more expensive).
I am going to a 3 day SDV scrapbooking convention here in Knoxville this week-end.  The hotel is only 10 minutes from our house, so, if I leave something at home, I can just go get it.  How's that for convenience?  I'll keep you posted.
