About Me

My Photo
Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

I'm happy to say that my sister has arrived and will be here for the next two months.  It's so great to be able to spend time with her, and we went shopping today already!  Her name is Jan, and she lives in south Florida, but she also has a nice little place up here in Tennessee, so she likes to spend the summer months up here - there's so much to do and see in these here hills.  We live fairly close to Dollywood, so both of us have season passes, and I'm sure we'll make good use of them.  My brother, Jim, will be coming up in about a month to stay a while with Jan, and it looks like we're all going to be busy.  School is almost out, and then Benjamin, our oldest grandson, will arrive for a couple of weeks.  He's always fun to have around, but he is almost 14 now, so sometimes his teenage ways get on my husband's nerves.  He got all "A's" on his report card last time - except for a "B" in geography.  We were talking to his mom on the phone, and asked her how he could do so well in all the hard subjects and then get a "B" in geography.  She said, "I'll tell you why - he thinks the world revolves around him!"  I thought that was so funny, because he really does.   He has such a grandiose opinion of himself that it's ridiculous.  I guess it's just the age.  We enjoy him and love him lots!
How are you all doing on your digital pages?  Keep practicing.
