About Me

My Photo
Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

I am branching out and learning new craft skills, and one new one I tried the other day was making a beaded bracelet with hemp, using the basic macrame' square knot.  My hemp was way to large and stiff to make an attractive bracelet, but this was basically just a practice one anyway.  I've never done this craft before, so my knots left much to be desired.  Also, the bracelet could easily decorate a cow's hoof.  It turned out way to big!!  But at least now I know how to do it.  Next time I'll use the correct sized thread.  Don't laugh too much, I tried.  Sorry for the poor quality of the picture.
