About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

My grandson, sister, and I actually bought tickets on Fandango and went to see the movie "Rock of Ages" this afternoon.  Apparently it had been a musical on Broadway at one point, which I didn't realize, but I loved the music in it!  It was all done rather "tongue in cheek" style and was kind of funny, because it was so corny.  Tom Cruise, as the rocker Stacee Jaxx, was way over the top and kind of zoned-out most of the time, but I loved everyone else.  He can sing pretty well though.  Russell Brand was his usual disgustingly funny self.  The funniest character in the whole movie was the baboon "Hey Man", who looked like he was going to bite someone or something the whole time.  It's worth seeing, because the music is good and you can't take it too seriously.  Take something to put over y0ur ears, though, because the sound in the Imax theatres is WAY TOO LOUD - if you get my drift.
