About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

FIDDLIN' TOM CASSADY AND HIS HOUSE

This is a tiny, one room house at the Museum of Appalachia, donated by the family of Fiddlin' Tom Cassady.  This is where Ol' Tom lived all by himself for many years, and it's about 1/3 the size of an average bedroom.  This cabin was recently donated to the Museum by one of the members of our Foothills Camera Club after his father passed away.  Apparently Fiddlin' Tom was one of his relatives.  That's Tom sitting by his front door.
