About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

This is going to be a hectic couple of days for me.  I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon, and tomorrow we're hosting our camera club for a bonfire and weenie roast.  We do this every October, and everyone really enjoys it, but it always stresses me out to make sure that I have everything I need, and making sure tha the food and dessert is good, etc.  I love get togethers with my camera club friends, but I feel inadequate at being a hostess  I'll be sooooo glad when tomorrow night is over!!  My husband is also getting ready to leave the next day for South Dakota to go pheasant hunting, so I'm trying to make sure that the laundry is up-to-date, and he has enough clean underwear and T-shirts.  I don't care about his hunting clothes, because apparently they wear the same clothes to hunt in the whole time they're out there.  I'm sure they all smell lovely towards the end of the week.  LOL!   When he comes home, I just dump all of his yucky clothes into the washer while I breathe through my mouth.

Of course, while he's gone, I intend to relax, scrap some, watch TV some and read Book 2 of the "Hunger Games" - "Catching Fire".  It's about as good as the first one.  I'll have almost a week to do what I want.

Did I mention that our house is being overrun with mice?  Well, it is - I hate those little critters!!  The weather has gotten colder, and the pasture right behind us has just been plowed, so the mice are trying to move indoors.  While we had our Maine Coon cat for 4 years, we never even saw a mouse, but now she's gone, and I guess the mice have figured it out.  Right now the house looks like a mine field full of mouse traps!  I shall remain vigilant until the last furry fiend has been eliminated.....
