About Me

Judy G.
I was raised in South Florida back in the years when it was a peaceful and wonderfully safe place to live. We lived a mile from the beach and could ride our bikes over the intercoastal bridge right to the best beach around. All my years of growing up I was a competitive swimmer and belonged to AAU. I granduated from Florida State University with a BS degree in nursing. I am recently retired but I'm thinking of going back to work to support my hobbies.

It was a beautiful fall day today, and I stayed inside all day long cleaning house and doing laundry.  What a waste!  I really didn't have any desire to do anything else, and these things needed to get done.  Our back porch is a mess with things that have collected on it during the summer.  My husband is threatening to start throwing things away, so I thought I'd better get out there and go through stuff that I know he would toss without asking me about it.  I found out that, really, most of the clutter is his.  Ha!  I have just a few plants that have given up the ghost due to cold weather, so these will have to be tossed, and my butterfly hatching containers will have to be put away until next year.  I got started on these things, but now it gets dark earlier, so I didn't quite get finished.  It won't take long to take care of my clutter, though, so I'll be one step ahead of him when he starts in.  Our back porch is enclosed, but it's at ground level and spiders and other crawly things come in under the porch doors.  Now that it's cold, all these critters are dying "en mass" and  I have to sweep all their little dead bodies out before I can enjoy the porch again.

Tomorrow I'm going to Oak Ridge to scrapbook during the day.  I haven't done that in a while, and I'm looking foreward to it.  Here's one of the pictures of me on Pirate's Night on our Disney Cruise.  The little pirate next to me is my 7 year old grandson.
